The David Sobey Retailing Centre is a leading expert and partner in the retail sector. At the David Sobey Retailing Centre we are committed to ‘shaping the future’ of retail and building a vibrant retail sector in Canada through research, innovation and education. The Centre funds faculty research related to retail as well as directly engages in research projects, sponsors and engages in the development of innovations, and disseminates knowledge through a variety of executive education programs and events. We help the retail industry be more successful and innovative by providing guidance, identifying issues and opportunities, and producing relevant, actionable insights.
The David Sobey Retailing Centre was established in 2014, thanks to a visionary and generous gift by Dr. David F. Sobey.
